Maia received her Master’s in Social Work from Augsburg University’s Multicultural Clinical Program. Her experience involves working in community based mental health, working with children who struggle with severe socioemotional/behavioral difficulties, family and in-home therapy, parent/caregiver support, and individual psychotherapy. Maia is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and has experience working with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma.
Maia specializes in working with the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC community in addition to serving individuals/couples from an integrative approach. Maia is passionate about working to support folx with gender/racial identity complexities, trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem/self-discovery, and relationship issues. Maia’s approach is collaborative, holistic, relational, and client-centered. She believes all people have it within them to grow, heal, and thrive.
Outside of her therapy practice, Maia loves reading, cooking, yoga, visiting local farmers markets, quality time with her partner and loved ones, and traveling.
