Maia Jackson

Maia received her Master’s in Social Work from Augsburg University’s Multicultural Clinical Program. Her experience involves working in community-based mental health, acute crisis services, brief therapy, parent/child work, addressing severe socioemotional and behavioral difficulties in children, and providing therapy to individuals, families, and couples. Maia is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Additionally, she is an LICSW board approved supervisor and provides individual clinical supervision for pre-licensed and licensed clinicians.


Maia thoroughly enjoys working with LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities and is passionate about working with individuals experiencing: changes in mood, anxiety, coping with stress, life transitions, relational challenges, co-dependency, and identity exploration. Maia describes her clinical approach as integrative, holistic, collaborative, and person-centered. She strives to create a therapeutic space that inspires curiosity, healing, and growth.

 

Outside of her therapy practice, Maia loves cooking, reading, traveling, coffee, visiting local farmers markets, nature walks, all the cozy things, and connection time with her loved ones.
